My Favorite Photo Studios in Salt Lake City
Clean Spaces, Gorgeous Light, and Creative Vibes
Over the years as a professional photographer and commercial producer, I’ve had the chance to work in a wide variety of studio spaces—some with incredible natural light, others with unbeatable props or flexible layouts. And while I’ve loved exploring so many, these are the ones I keep coming back to. These are my absolute favorite photo studios in Salt Lake City.
And one day… ughhh, one day! I dream of expanding Emmerson Studios into a full-on studio space of my own. Until then, these are the tried-and-true gems I swear by.
1. Third Place Studio
Owned by the incredibly talented photographer Togi, this space is hands-down one of the studios I recommend the most. It’s always spotless, and Togi is one of the kindest studio owners—ready to help if you need anything while shooting. She also offers awesome lighting rentals, which saves me the hassle of hauling all my gear.
The clean white cyc wall acts as the perfect blank canvas, and there are plenty of fun chair props and paper backdrops to play with. It’s roomy enough for larger teams, and the natural light is best midday. Plus, the parking is easy, and the location is super convenient. It's the perfect mix of function, affordability, and aesthetic.
2. Studio Noire Noir
This small but stunning studio in downtown SLC has such dreamy natural light. The white brick walls and iconic oversized mirror are total standouts for clean, editorial-style photos. It's a more intimate space, perfect for smaller crews or portrait work.
Heads up—being downtown, parking is the one tricky part. You’ll need to plan for a garage or paid street parking. But the studio itself is such a gem, it’s totally worth the extra few minutes of planning.
3. Blood & Blush Studios
Created by the insanely talented makeup artist Kate Giddings, this studio checks all the boxes: beautiful colors, high paper backdrops, amazing natural light, and space. It’s designed with artists and teams in mind, so there’s room for hair and makeup, stylists, and even large crews.
Bonus: it’s super easy to park, which we all know makes a big difference on shoot day. I always love the vibe in here—it’s creative, bright, and made to support a collaborative process.
4. Studio Elevn
This is one of the most spacious and luxurious studio spaces in the city, and honestly? Worth every penny. Their massive white cyc wall and tall windows bring in the most stunning natural light, and everything is beautifully maintained and easy to book.
There’s also a styled section with a dark accent wall for extra variety. If you want to see the space in action, check out this Goddesses photoshoot my friend Ava and I did—we were lucky enough to have it featured on their blog!
5. The Flat
One of the newest additions to Salt Lake’s studio scene, The Flat is owned by Studio Elevn and sits in the same building as Blood & Blush and Relish. It’s a photographer’s dream for lifestyle, branding, or creative portrait shoots.
Natural light pours in, and the space includes a moody dark-painted room that is stunning for more dramatic vibes. There's also a styled kitchen setup—perfect for content creators and culinary brands. It’s versatile and beautifully designed!
There are so many amazing studios in Salt Lake City, and I’m always discovering new ones. These are my tried-and-true favorites, and I’ll keep updating this list as I explore more.
